Former NFL linebacker leads charge to raise lung cancer awareness
GREEN BAY – November is Lung Cancer Awareness month. Did you know that lung cancer kills more people than breast, cervical, prostate and melanoma cancers combined? Former NFL linebacker, Chris Draft, also wants you to know it’s not just a smokers disease. Draft and Dr. Jaspreet Ahuja of Bellin Health Pulmonary Clinic joined Rachel on Good Day Wisconsin.
Draft played for 13 years in the NFL. He lost his wife, Keasha, to lung cancer in 2011. Keasha was not a smoker.
To carry on her legacy, he founded the Chris Draft Family Foundation to help increase research funding.
