Denver, CO. 2016 Super Bowl Challenge winner, Kim Ringen led a group of Denver area lung cancer survivor-advocates to the View House on Thursday for a night of fellowship and empowerment. Team Draft’s Tackling Lung Cancer Reception, sponsored by Myriad, gave the survivors a chance to mingle with other survivors and lung cancer experts from across the Denver metro area. Kim Ringen, Denver lung cancer survivor-advocate This is a great opportunity to meet fellow survivors and develop a social community so we can learn and share one anothers’ story!!! As part of our National Campaign to change the face of lung cancer, this celebration of survivorship raises lung cancer awareness, gives hope to those battling the disease, and shines a light on the important work being done at cancer research and treatment centers around the country. Team Draft’s goals are to create a unique experience for participating survivors and to raise awareness on a local, national, and international level by using each dinner and each survivor’s story to weave a broader narrative about the state of cancer and the hope that now exists for those battling the disease. We kicked off our 3rd Lung Cancer Survivors Super Bowl Challenge on November 1st, 2016, which will build on the success of our established Survivor Series by using the games at the heart of that initiative to create buzz for the Super Bowl Challenge and, in turn, funds for research and awareness.
