Asco

Chicago, IL. Team Draft is off to ASCO in Chicago. We are excited to meet up with some of our survivors and the top doctors that serve them. We will be meeting up with lung cancer survivor, Susan Warmerdam as well as attending a series of discussions at the annual meeting of American Association of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). Among the list of discussions taking place is a father and son discussing their personal cancer research study which represents the largest analysis of age related survival in lung cancer ever conducted.

California’s Davis High School sophomore Matthew Lara and his father, a UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center Medical Oncologist and Researcher, will be presenting Matthew’s findings on non-small cell lung cancer in the younger patients that are less than 50 years old.

Susan Warmerdam was diagnosed in February, 2012 with Stage 4 lung cancer. She vowed to become an advocate for lung cancer patients and to fight this disease with renewed strength. Susan, as well as many of the lung cancer patients and survivors that we serve, are the (new) face of lung cancer… healthy, strong and a never-smoker.
