Chicago, IL. November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month! University of Chicago lung cancer survivor, and sports enthusiast, Meghan O’Brien will represent Team Draft at the United Center in Chicago. Meghan and her Team will witness, the defending Stanley Cup champion, Chicago Blackhawks take on the San Jose Sharks. Team Draft has worked with the NHL’s Hockey Fights Cancer program, during October and November, to create a unique experience for participating survivors and to raise awareness about lung cancer on a local, national, and international level. Each game and each survivor’s story, weave a broader narrative about the state of lung cancer and the hope that now exists for those battling the disease. Thank you NHL, Chicago Blackhawks, the University of Chicago Cancer Center, and Billy Nash for joining forces with Team Draft to make this experience possible.
